Police No Shave

November 1st marks the start of “No Shave November” and members of the Colleyville Police Department are getting in on the fun.

Chief Miller has relaxed the standard grooming policy this month to allow members of the Colleyville Police Department to participate in this event and grow facial hair in support of this national campaign. Officers are encouraged to donate the money that would typically be spent on shaving and grooming to cancer research and awareness.

“No Shave November” challenges participants to forgo shaving in order to provoke conversation and raise cancer awareness. Its mission is to not only raise funds for cancer research and treatment but to educate the population about preventative measures.  Participants from around the world put down their razors in November to join the fight against cancer.

The Colleyville Police Department has a goal of raising $2000 for cancer research and eradication. If you would like to contribute to the cause and help CPD reach their goal, click on the link below and select “Make a Donation” on the left side of the page. Select the Organization radio button (it should be the default) when making the donation and Colleyville Police Department will get the credit.
