Receipt Race Results Are in
Participating Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District parent teacher associations collected 55,468 receipts from Colleyville businesses as part of a city-initiated economic development program.
The City of Colleyville hosted the Colleyville Receipt Race during the months of the March and April. The program asked GCISD PTAs to collect receipts from Colleyville businesses. The groups that turned in the most receipts received prize money from the City and all participating PTAs received $500.The Mayor and Council recognized the schools that turned in the most receipts at the May 7 City Council meeting. Out of the 16 schools that participated, Heritage Middle School came out on top with 19,878 receipts, Bransford Elementary School collected 9,846 receipts, and Heritage Elementary School had 9,467 receipts. The City awarded the schools $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000 respectively.
