The candidate filing period for a Place on the Ballot for Colleyville City Council Place 3 and Place 4 seats for the May 2, 2026, General Election will be open from January 14 through February 13, 2026. The City will conduct a General Election on May 2 to elect City Councilmembers to Places 3 and 4. Applications will be available at the City Secretary’s Office on the third floor of City Hall, 100 Main Street or online at www.colleyville.com/government/elections beginning January 5.
City Councilmembers are elected to three-year terms. Candidates must be a resident of the City of Colleyville or within an incorporated area annexed by the City, according to the City Charter. Candidates must have been a resident for at least 12 months, be qualified voters of the State of Texas and the City of Colleyville, and cannot be financially delinquent to the City.
