Books may be checked out for 3 weeks and renewed up to five times if there are no holds for other patrons. Please note there are the following exceptions for loan periods: Magazines, Adult DVDs, Children's DVDs, and Music CDs have a 7 day borrowing period.
What are your restrictions on borrowing?
If a person accrues $5.00 in fines, a restriction on borrowing privileges will be enforced.
How do I renew an item?
Most items may be renewed in person, by calling the circulation department at (817) 503-1150, or on-line by using your patron library card number and (PIN).
Do you have a limit on materials?
Yes, our limit is 40 items per card. Please note there is a limit of 10 for Music CDs, Adult Feature Length DVDs, Juvenile DVDs, Non-fiction DVDs and Juvenile Books with CDs.
I lost my library card. What should I do?
Replacement library cards are issued to Colleyville resident patrons who bring in a picture I.D. and pay a replacement fee of $2.00.
Does the library have computers available for the public to use?
Colleyville Public Library has public access computers which may be used free of charge with a valid library card. The public access computers have Internet access, email and word processing capabilities.

Enter your Patron / Alternate ID Number and PIN. Your Patron / Alternate ID Number will be your library card number. The PIN (Personal Identification Number) is a password you set up with the library staff in order to access your account from home. If you did not set one up when you signed up for your library card, we can set one up for you. It must be 4-8 characters: numbers, letters, or a combination of both. If you set one up, but do not remember it, we can reset it for you. Please call the library at (817) 503-1161 for more information on resetting your PIN.
When you log in, you will see your account information and the items you have checked out
Select the item(s) you wish to renew by clicking the box next to the item(s)
Click on Renew Checked Items
Note the new due date next to the items.
You will not be allowed to renew items if the item is on hold for other patrons or if fines on your account exceed $5.00.
How can I reserve a title online?
Visit the Library's online catalog and search for the items you wish to place on hold. Once you find a title you wish to reserve:
Click on the title
Click on the PLACE HOLD button under the item
Under 'Please enter the following information,' enter your Patron / Alternate ID Number and PIN number (Your Patron / Alternate ID Number will be your library card number. Your PIN number is a 4-8 character password you set up with library staff)
Click on Submit Request. If the hold is placed, you will receive a confirmation screen that says 'Your hold has been approved for:'

How do I pay my account balance online?
You can pay your library account balance via our Ncourt payment page. Please note that you need to know your balance before you pay online. You can find your account balance by logging into the library’s online catalog or by calling (817) 503-1161.
